An Italian hand,
a single intention.

Giovanna Viterbo works in the tradition of the Italian artisan: slowly, by hand, one creation at a time. Each bag begins as an idea and ends as an object that will never have a twin.

Heir to the lineage of Saverio de Bellis, she carries a southern-Italian sensibility for material and form — leather hand-woven thread by thread, velvet shaped over an afternoon, crochet built stitch upon stitch.

03 — The Craft
A finished hand-crocheted creation on display

Hours, not units.

There is no production line and no second run. Materials are chosen one at a time — Italian leather, velvet, crochet wool, bamboo, brass — and worked entirely by hand.

It is this refusal to repeat that makes each bag what it is: not a product, but a possession. When a piece is taken, it is gone for good.
